This half term, Mr Hale launched Emanuel’s very own Tycoon Enterprise competition exclusively to year 8 pupils. This ‘Dragons Den’ style project encourages students to submit their own business proposals in teams and, if successful, are granted loans to run their business. Groups are judged not only on the amount of money they are able to make but also their creativity, problem-solving skills, positivity, their ability to present and, importantly, the way they work as part of a team.
Due to the high levels of interest, those interested have been asked to submit their ideas before Mr Hale goes on to select who will be put forward to represent Emanuel in the national Tycoon Enterprise competition. The trading window opens on the 29th October and closes on the 21st December when all businesses will be evaluated.
We are excited to hear all about the many fantastic business ideas from our entrepreneurial year 8 pupils over forthcoming weeks and have our fingers crossed for an Emanuel winner.
