The Ceilidh and Burns Night, on 25th January, was the perfect recipe for fun on a cold winter’s evening, serving up plenty of music, dancing, haggis and whisky.
The Ceilidh Factor once again provided the foot-stomping tunes to such favourite dances as Dashing White Sergeant, The Basket, The Gay Gordons and Strip the Willow. Linda the Piper piped in the steaming haggis, and Phyllis Street, the school’s Catering Manager, read aloud Burns’ immortal poem, Address to a Haggis, before everyone adjourned to The Refectory for a delicious candlelit dinner. There was more dancing to follow, a raffle and finally, a rousing rendition of Auld Lang Syne.
There were over 100 tickets sold for the event, making it one of the most popular on the EPA calendar; don your tartan, and join us for a whirl next year!
